According to a blog post by Doujin Work creator Hiroyuki, Doujin Work will be coming to an ending in the February issue (2/9) of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara. However, a spin off series will start in the April issue of Manga Time Kirara.

A manga adaptation of Atlus' game Etrian Odyssey II (世界樹の迷宮II ) (also known as Sekaiju no Meikyuu or Yggdrasil Labyrinth) by FLIPFLOPs will begin serialization in the March issue of Ichijinsha's Comic REX, on sale 2/9. Also starting in the same issue is a new manga titled Eru-Eru Sister (える・えるシスター) by Yokoshima Takemaru.

Last but not least, an important announcement will be made regarding Takenashi Eri's Kannagi (かんなぎ). According to Moon Phase, it will be news of Kannagi's anime adaptation.

Kenjirou Takeshita (mangaka of Cocoon and Happy World!) will start a new manga titled Tsuriya Nagare (釣り屋 ナガレ) in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion No.6 (1/10).

Kadokawa Shoten's manga magazine Beans Ace will become a bi-monthly magazine as of volume 10.

Also, with the release of volume 3 of Houbunsha's manga magazine Comic Yell! (11/10), the magazine will become a bi-monthly magazine. The magazine is mentioned by the publisher as a "pure and cute shoujo manga magazine for males."

The first issue of a new cat manga magazine titled Neko Mero! will be released by Gentosha Comics on October 16th, 2007. The magazine will be published quarterly.

Houbunsha has released a new magazine on 8/8 titled Kyuukyoku Renai Chocolat, an add-on magazine to Manga Time Special.

Also, Ohzora Shuppan has released a new "teens love" manga magazine magazine on 7/31 titled Koi Mato Dengon (RabuDen).

From Mainichi Daily News comes an article on Houbunsha's Comic Yell, a new magazine that will carry girl-oriented manga aimed at men:

The success of the girl-oriented manga amongst male manga fans prompted the release of Comic Yell, Japan's first girl's manga for men.

With men's manga like Shonen Jump attracting a 50 percent female readership, Comic Yell's publishers Hobunsha figured it was time to give guys an opening into the world of shojo, or girl's, manga.

Houbunsha has opened the official website of its new manga magazine Comic Yell! at www.comicyell.com. According to the website, Comic Yell! is "a Shoujo manga magazine for boys," which, as many fans have pointed out online, is quite similar to Futabasha's Comic High!.

Houbunsha has launched a new light novel label titled Houbunsha KR Bunko (芳文社KR文庫). Works published under this label will be novel adaptations of 4-panel manga serialized in Houbunsha's 4-panel manga magazines.

The first 4-panel manga to be adapted to a light novel and published under the Houbunsha KR will be Ume Aoki's Hidamari Sketch.

Houbunsha will launch a new magazine titled Comic Yell on May 11th. The magazine will cost 580 yen, and is aimed at "boys of the next generation."
