topAlso, two light novel series will be adapted into their own manga series in the September issue of Media Work's Dengeki Comic Gao!:

  • Alison, written by Keiichi Sigsawa and illustrated by Kohaku Kuroboshi, will be adapted into a manga series by Hiroki Haruse.
  • Toradora!, written by Yuyuko Takemiya and illustrated by Yasu, will be adapted into a manga series by Zekkyou.

topEarlier this year, Sirou Tunasima's mecha manga Jinki: Extend was dropped from Mag Garden's Comic Blade due to conflicts between Tunasima and the magazine's Editor-in-Chief. Since then Tunasima has confirmed that more than 10 publishers offered to continue carry Jinki: Extend.

Today Chuosha announced that Jinki: Extend will continue in MediaWork's Dengeki Moeoh. While no official date has been given for when the series will resume serialization, starting with the August issue Dengeki Moeoh will run special illustrations from Tunasima for three issues.

topDengeki Online and Ultimatum Talk report that ToraDora! and Ookami to Koushinryou, two light novel series published under MediaWork's Dengeki Bunko label, will be adapted into manga.

ToraDora! will be drawn by Zekkyou and will begin serialization in the September issue of Dengeki Comic Gao! (July 27), while Ookami to Koushinryou will be drawn by Koume Keito and will serialize in Dengeki Maoh starting with the November issue (September 27).

According to Dengeki Online, Alchemist will be starting a new web delivery light novel magazine titled Shounen Alchemist. Light novels will be serialized weekly on Shounen Alchemist's website and will be available to read free of charge. Shounen Alchemist is scheduled to start on May 1, 2007.

Alchemist originally announced Shounen Alchemist on April 1st, and the news was thought to be an April fools joke.

A new manga based on the anime Gurren-Lagann will begin serialization in MediaWorks' Dengeki Gao! June issue. The manga, titled Maiking Breakthrough Gurren-Lagann, will be drawn by Kotaro Mori, creator of Stray Little Devil.

In the latest issue of MediaWorks' Dengeki Maoh, an announcement was made that Persona 3, a popular RPG game from Atlus, will be adapted into a manga series. The new series will begin in the April issue of Dengeki Maoh (2/27), and the artist will be Sokabe Shuuji.

Movies of three of MediaWork's shounen light novels will be released in April 2007.

The popular light novel from MediaWorks, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, will once again be adapted into a manga, this time drawn by Kasumi Kirino. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan was originally a light novel (written by Masaki Okayu and illustrated by Torishimo) serialized in Dengeki HP, it was later adapted into an anime, a manga, and a PS2 game.

The popular light novel by Keisuke Hasegawa, Shinigami no Ballad, will be adapted into a live-action drama. According to MediaWorks, more details will be posted soon.
