Toen Shobo has been making many changes to their books and magazines in recently years, and has sold many properties to keep their financial results stable. Later Toen Shobo proposed a "reconstruction plan" that involved getting rid of the division in charge of publishing adult contents, reducing employees and employment costs, disposing bad inventories, cutting down the debt by 90%, etc. Some magazines were also sold to other publishers.
