Japanese readers recently noted [1] similarities [2] between Naka Gomura's manga Megabaka, serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shounen Magazine's January 11th Special Issue: Magazine Dragon, and other popular series such as Death Note, Air Gear and MPD-Psycho.
On December 21st, Kodansha issued an official announcement [3] announcing that the manga's creator, Naka Gomura, has admitted to plagiarizing other works. The announcement apologizes for the plagiarism, and stated that the manga will be withdraw [4]n from Kodansha's magazine.
