After ending in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 30 and having published its "final chapter" in Akamaru Jump, Masanori Morita's Beshari Gurashi will resume serialization in Weekly Young Jump issue 7, on sale January 18th, 2007.

Clamp in Wonderland EX, a new one-shot from CLAMP, will appear in the 2/1 issue of Take Shobo's manga anthology Kindai Mahjong, on sale December 28th.

imgWhen Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys ended abruptly last April in Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits, leaving only a note stating that "the next part of the series will resume in Spring 2007," fans wondered if the series will actually finish.

After months of waiting, Big Comic Spirit has finally announced that the "final chapters" of 20th Century Boys will begin serialization in Big Comic Spirit No. 4+5 New Year's issue, on sale December 25th.

Also announced is a new manga from Tohru Fujisawa (of GTO fame) titled Animal Joe, which will start in issue 3 of Big Comic Spirit, on sale December 18th.

A new series called Yuru Yuru Future by Haruko Kashiwagi will begin in Big Comic Spirit No. 6+7.

Fruits Basket, the popular shojo manga by Natsuki Takaya, has finally ended in issue 24 of Hakusensha's manga anthology Hana to Yume (final chapter 136). Fruits Basket is currently being published in the U.S. by Tokyopop.

After a two months long hiatus, Hiroya Oku's popular seinen manga Gantz finally returns in this week's Young Jump under the name Gantz: 2nd Phase. With the return of Gantz, Hiroya Oku currently has two series running in Young Jump, Gantz and Me-Teru no Kimochi.

imgAccording to the lastest Weekly Jump early sales info, the rumored new manga from Death Note creator Takeshi Obata, titled "Blue Dragon: Ral??Grado", will begin serialization Weekly Shonen Jump issue 1 (12/4). The description under the titles says: "The history of a boy who arrives in a world where darkness reigns."

The same blog that released scans of Takeshi Obata's new Weekly Jump series a few days ago has released another scan. According to the new scan, Obata's new series will be called Blue Dragon: Raru??Gurado. There has been no official confirmation regarding the new series, and the scans posted has not yet been confirmed to be authentic Jump scans.

Shuiesha has recently announced the manga adaption of the XBox 360 RPG Blue Dragon. The new manga, called "Blue Dragon ST," will be drawn by Ami Shibata (Nangoku Shounen Papuwa-kun, Freeman Hero) and will begin serialization in the January issue of Monthly Shonen Jump, on sale December 16th.

Blue Dragon is a XBox 360 game developed by Mistwalker, under the direction of Hironobu Sakaguchi (father of the Final Fantasy series), and features artwork from Akira Toriyama.

A Japanese blog has posted a leaked scan (currently unverified) of Weekly Shonen Jump, which reveals that Takeshi Obata, artist of Hikaru no Go and Death Note, will begin a new serialization titled "Rarugurado" in Weekly Shonen Jump No.1 (New Year's issue), on sale December 4th. The issue will also come with a pencil board with original artwork from Takeshi's. At this time there has been no official confirmation regarding the new series.
