Manga publisher Go! Comi has announced that it will be hosting portfolio reviews for the first time ever at their booth during New York Comic Con. The reviews will be held at booth 564 on Saturday February 24th between 10:00 AM and noon. If you are talented, ambitious, and have a portfolio, the editors at Go! Comi wants to see your work.

Does this mean Go! Comi is planning to start publishing original material? Creative Director Audry Taylor answered this important question with a cryptic smile. "Come to our panel Saturday at 2:00 PM and you'll find out."

ICv2 has announced the addition of six new panelists to its second annual ICv2 Graphic Novel Conference at New York Comic Con in February. The new panelists are: Larry Gonick (graphic novelist); Kurt Hassler (co-publisher of Yen Press and ICv2's "#1 Most Powerful Person in Manga" last year); Glenn Kardy (CEO of Japanime, publisher of Kanji de Manga, etc.); Dallas Middaugh (associate publisher of Del Rey Manga); Ted Rall (Pulitzer Prize-nominated cartoonist, and graphic novelist); and Tomoko Suga (Senior Manager, Foreign Rights Department of Kodansha).

Korean Comics: A Society Through Small Frames, an exhibition sponsored by the Korean Society, will take place at the Ohio State University Cartoon Research Library from January 16 to March 16. The event will feature "83 framed works by 21 of Korea's most talented cartoonists, drawn over a period of 40 years. It includes work by artists from both South Korea and North Korea."

The Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory, a museum that showcases the works of Detective Conan creator Goshou Aoyama, will open in Kitasakae-cho (Tottori Prefecture) on March 18th. The museum, part of a plan to create Detective Conan related landmarks in Goshou Aoyama's Hometown, will be divided into 6 sections, with each having a specific function, such as anime and manga museums and cafeteria.

topKei Toume's 3rd original art exhibition, Winter Art - Exhibition (????????????, also a pun on Toume's name ?????????), will be held at GoFa (Gallery of Fantastic Art), Aoyama in Tokyo. The exhibition will be open from February 24 to March 11.

The exhibition will feature Toume's early artworks, special artworks, as well as artworks of Toume's currently serialized works. A set of limited edition figurine will also be sold during the exhibition. The figurines are based on HASAMI, a series that Toume created just for the exhibition. Original artworks of HASAMI will also be available during the event.
