  • BLACK SUN by Ogasawara Uki
  • Meeting You by Tennouji Mio
  • Falling into Love by Kanzaki Takashi

According to Yaoi Press, its Yaoi Hentai series will be replaced with a new line of yaoi books called Happy Yaoi Yum Yum.

The Yaoi Press blog has announced that both Yaoi Press and Yaoi Jamboree will be exhibiting at the Phoenix Comicon that's taking place this weekend:

We're at booth #6. We're signing up 'Yaoi Boys' to take part in the skits, improv, and Bishounen Wheel at Yaoi Jamboree (more info here). There's a free raffle for a $40 computer game at our booth, and of course there will be hundreds of yaoi titles to browse including all the Yaoi Press titles currently in print.

YaoiSuki reports that 801 Media has delayed its new acquisition announcement to Valentine's Day. Also mentioned is that 801 Media is having some problems with its printer:

Our printer printed the pages of both The King of Debt and The Prime Minister's Secret Diplomacy out of order...twice. So we had to print the books 3 times!!! We have some advanced copies on sale at the 801 Media Inc. store, also Akadot Retail has some copies and so does Right Stuf International.

Global fans stampede YaoiMagazine.com to order Vol. 1 Issue 1 of Yaoi Magazine!

York, Penn. - January 18, 2008 The first issue of Yaoi Magazine was made available for purchase on the YaoiMagazine.com website as well as on Amazon.com January 15, 2008. In the first day alone, sales exceeded S. A. Payne's (publisher) original expectation. "In just a few days orders have surpassed our original expectations by over 300%," said Payne. "We knew the market was out there, but I'm shocked to see how many orders are coming in, some for multiple copies! We've had orders placed from four countries outside of the U.S. as well."

BL publisher Iris Print has an updated of its current status since the last update on its financial situation:

On the subject of volunteers--wow, I'm amazed at the response! I'm practically swimming in volunteer proofreaders now...more than I could use, in fact. I was trying to respond to each person individually at first, but it quickly became apparent that I wouldn't be able to.

BL publisher Iris Print has posted an extensive blog post on how the company is running out of fundings, and is currently struggling to survive in the manga market:

The short story is, Iris Print ran out of funding. Orders for in-stock books are still shipping, and refunds for BL Twist are being issued, slowly but surely. But there hasn't been enough money coming in to support this venture for a long time, and to be honest, the plug was pulled a lot later than it should have been.
