The Brazilian manga and anime blog Papo de Budega has been relaunched at papodebudega.com.

From Cosplayers Net comes an exclusive interview with World Cosplay Summit 2007 winners Damien Ratte (DamDam) and Isabelle Jeudy (cosplayed as Tsugiri and Myoubi from the manga Alichino), who talk abouttheir experience at this year's WCS.

Brazilian publsiher Conrad Publishing has licensed Akira Toriyama's Cowa, and will be releasing manga in Brazil this October. Other Toriyama manga licensed by Conrad include Kajika, Neko Majin, Marusaku, Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball.

JBC Publishing has announced that it will release the manga Socrates in Love - O Amor Sobrevive ao Tempo (Sekai no Chuushin de Ai wo Sakebu) by Kyoichi Katayama (story) and Kazumi Kazui (art) in Brazil. The title is based on Kyoichi Katayama's best-selling novel of the same name.

Japan Foundation Brazil (Fundação Japão São Paulo) is currently promoting a lecture called "Beginning of Japanese animation in the televisions" that's taking place in Brazil, which will analyze the origin of Japanese animation.

Panini Comics has updated its website with information on its new licensed manga coming out in August, which include Bleach (13,7 x 20 cm), Princess Princess (13 x 18 cm), Count Cain (11,4 x 17,7 cm), Gantz (13 x 18 cm) and Vampire Knight (11,4 x 17,7 cm).

According J-Box News, Nana by Ai Yazawa will be released in Brazil this coming September. The license was confirmed by JBC Publising at the Anime Friends convention. Conrad Publishing made an attempt at acquiring the title earlier this year, but lost the license to JBC.

Saint Seiya - The Lost Canvas is the newest manga to be published in Brazil by JBC Publishing. The first volume of the manga was released on the first day of AnimeCon, one
of the biggest conventions in Brazil.

The move was a great surprise for Brazilian Saint Seiya fans, because no one expected this manga so soon. Lost Canvas is drawn by by Shiori Teshirogi and written by Masami Kurumada, and was created to celebrate the original series' 20th anniversary.

Panini of Brazil has announced its plans to publish numerous new titles in the Brazilian market in the next months. Newly announced licenses include Bleach, Princess Princess, Count Cain, Gantz, Vampire Knight and Blood - The Last Vampire.

The manga will be released in the following order: Blood - The Last Vampire in June at Fest Comix. Bleach and Vampire Knight in July. Princess Princess in August. Count Cain in December. Gantz has not received an official release date yet.
