According to the latest Jump info, after 8 years of serialization, The Prince of Tennis by Takeshi Konomi will end in issue 52 of Weekly Shonen Jump. Also, Belmonde le VisiteuR by Shomei Ishioka will end in Weekly Jump No.48, and Boku no Watashi no Yusha Gaku by Shuichi Aso will end in Weekly Jump No.49.

Edit: It was later confirmed that The Prince of Tennis will not end in November.

Shueisha has released a new promotional video titled "Shining!!!" for its upcoming Jump Square, the replacement magazine for Monthly Shonen Jump.

Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump is known for canceling its series (even the 2ch Early Sales info is called the "Cancellation Survival Race"). Each issue of Shonen Jump comes with a survey postcard that asks its readers to vote for their favorite series. Every week, manga serialized in Jump are ranked from most popular to least popular. Usually the less popular series tend to enjoy a very short lifespan.

Shueisha has updated the official Weekly Shonen Jump website with a banner announcing the return of Hunter x Hunter.

Also, according to Weekly Jump Readers' Journal, there are rumors going around the internet that Prince of Tennis, Belmonde and Hero Studies may all be ending in Shonen Jump starting with issue 48 (11/26), to be replaced by new series from Shinya Suzuki (mangaka of Mr. Fullswing), Mizuki Kawashita (mangaka of Ichigo 100%), Takeshi Obata (artist of Death Note, Hikaru no Go) and Shiibashi Hiroshi.

An announcement was made in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump (No. 40) that Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter x Hunter will resume serialization in Shonen Jump No. 45 (on sale October 6th).

Hunter x Hunter went on hiatus in early 2006. In early July, fans petitioned for the return of HxH through a special service website called Letters to the Chairman. In early August, a source from 2ch leaked the news that HxH will be returning "sometime in October."

Also announced in Jump 40 is that volume 24 of Hunter x Hunter will be released on 10/4.

Shueisha released a revised edition of Osamu Dazai's best-selling novel, No Longer Human, in June. Takeshi Obata, artist of Death Note and Hikaru no Go, illustrated the cover for the novel. According to Yomiuri Shimbun, the novel has already sold over 75,000 copies just a month and a half after its re-release.

According to the report, the combination of classic novel and popular manga artist was one of the main reason behind the revised edition's popularity. Many fans commented that "this combination is great, I need to get a copy for my collection."

Popular shojo mangaka Mayu Shinjo will be starting a new series titled Midnight???Children in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret (Betsuma) September issue (8/11).

Also, Mayu Shinjo announced on her blog that she is now in charge of creating illustrations for the official Gundam SEED/Gundam SEED Destiny mobile website, SEED Club Mobile. Mayu Shinjo used to publish Gundam doujinshi, and now she will be creating official illustrations for the website of the popular mecha series.

However, according to Canned Dogs, "it'll stop again after Jump finishes publishing all the chapters that have been drawn so far."
