The winner of this year's World Cosplay Summit has been announced. According to JBC Publishing, the company that promoted WCS in Brazil, the winning team is the team of Gabriel Niemietz and Jéssica Campos, who cosplayed as the robot Jango and Jo from Burst Angel.

After a long wait, JBC will finally release Shoujo Kakumei Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena) by Chiho Saito in Brazil. The press release can be found on Anime-Pró. For more comments check Shoujo Café blog.

Brazilian manga publisher JBC Publishing has licensed two new titles: Hellsing and Train Man. No information regarding the price and release formats has been released so far..

Papo de Budega reports that JBC Publishing has licensed and will release Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter X Hunter in the Brazilian manga market sometime in the near future. JBC was also the Brazilian publisher of another title by Togashi: Yu Yu Hakusho.

JBC Publishing has announced that it will release the manga Socrates in Love - O Amor Sobrevive ao Tempo (Sekai no Chuushin de Ai wo Sakebu) by Kyoichi Katayama (story) and Kazumi Kazui (art) in Brazil. The title is based on Kyoichi Katayama's best-selling novel of the same name.

According J-Box News, Nana by Ai Yazawa will be released in Brazil this coming September. The license was confirmed by JBC Publising at the Anime Friends convention. Conrad Publishing made an attempt at acquiring the title earlier this year, but lost the license to JBC.

Saint Seiya - The Lost Canvas is the newest manga to be published in Brazil by JBC Publishing. The first volume of the manga was released on the first day of AnimeCon, one
of the biggest conventions in Brazil.

The move was a great surprise for Brazilian Saint Seiya fans, because no one expected this manga so soon. Lost Canvas is drawn by by Shiori Teshirogi and written by Masami Kurumada, and was created to celebrate the original series' 20th anniversary.

The World Cosplay Summit Brazilian Stage took place on June 9th, and the winners are Marcelo and Thaís, who cosplayed as Naraku/InuYasha and Sesshomaru.

Brazilian publisher JBC, who promoted the event, used the occasion to introduce its new manga: Death Note. JBC's Julio Moreno announced that they plan to unveil two more titles soon, one shoujo and the other shonen.
